The U. S. Embassy in Yaoundé is seeking an individual for the position of

Administrative/Work Order Clerk.

Basic Function of Position :
Incumbent is responsible for processing work orders from start to finish along with various other clerical and administrative duties. This involves routing work orders as appropriate and then following through with the completion and close-out of each work order in a timely fashion. By using interpersonal skills, this person is to interact with customers to make them understand the details surrounding their work order(s), expected dates of completion, and articulate realistic expectations in a positive manner.

Qualifications Required :
Note : All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

Education : Completion of High school is required.
Experience : At least 2 years clerical/administrative experience in a construction company is required.
Language : Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and French are required and will be tested.
Knowledge : Must have basic knowledge in building and grounds maintenance and repairs with some knowledge of construction. Must have good knowledge of administrative procedures, good knowledge of time management strategies to effectively manage job tasks and responsibilities. Must be computer literate and be able to operate in MS Office, internet and basic data management software. Job knowledge will be tested.
Skills/Abilities : Must have excellent communication skills with emphasis on customer service. Must demonstrate leadership ability to help supervisors motivate staff to complete work orders and look for the most efficient way to route technicians and equipment for maximum efficiency. Good written communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills are essential.
